Marmoset Found Near Palo Alto Home Surprises Residents
In Palo Alto California a stray marmoset weighing about 12 ounces was found by Andrew Padilla in his backyard hanging by a fence. He fed the animal bananas and crackers before Peninsula Humane Society SPCA officers captured it with a banana. The animal appeared healthy but disoriented.

Puppy named Sewer after six-inch pipe rescue in Penn Hills
A seven week old puppy rescued from a six inch sewer pipe after more than five hours headfirst, prompting owner Marlene Thrower to name the dog Sewer. She suspects the drain cover was removed during lawn maintenance. The puppy is one of four in a litter from Thrower's pit bull Thirsty.
