Supreme Court Won’t Hear Sandstrom Estate Case
The Kansas Supreme Court dismissed the appeal of Mitda R. Sandstrom seeking to overturn a Shawnee County District Court order that required court approval before she could spend money from her murdered husband Thad M. Sandstrom’s estate. The half million dollar estate and $300,000 in jointly held property remain tied up in litigation. Judge Terry Bullock ruled shortly after the May 1977 slaying that she must obtain court approval to spend or liquidate estate assets.
