Orphaned robin finds happiness in foster home
A baby robin named Pretty Boy, found on a loading dock near Ottawa Co-Op, is thriving in a foster family, the Fosters. Mrs. John Foster and her nine year old daughter care for him with daily worm meals and a growing curiosity about the world. Pretty Boy now eats 40 to 50 worms daily, flies around the house, and has formed bonds with the family including five year old Jamie and the family dog Shelly. He remains indoors but may seek freedom when ready, with a worm supply kept in a soil-filled aquarium near the sink.

RHS Has Reunion Of Rantoul High Alumni At Fellowship Hall

Bob Detwiler led the meeting after a basket dinner, with 16 classes participating and 38 graduates. The 1928 Rantoul High School graduates gathered at L&M Buffet Saturday for a 50th reunion. Phil McCracken led the program, Thomas Michel played a tape from Mrs. Focht, and Ethel Miller Baldwin read Life's Mirror. Mr and Mrs Glenn Young of Fresno received a gift from Frances Michel to mark their 50th anniversary. Eleven of the original 17 graduates attended.
