Kalitta dies in NHRA crash at New Jersey track
Scott Kalitta, 46, died after his Funny Car burst into flames and crashed at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park during the final round of qualifying for the Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals. The NHRA said he had 18 career victories and was taken to a hospital where he died shortly after.
