Dawson s Son Must Perform Public Service in Theft Case
Leonard Dawson Jr. and his former roommate Anthony Ferro were ordered by the Johnson County district attorney to complete 100 hours of public service after a 13 April incident in Lenexa. They allegedly caught Joseph Columbo breaking into Dawson s car, took his wallet and car title, and demanded $500 then $300 to avoid reporting him. Police gave Columbo $100 to hand to Dawson and Ferro, who were arrested as they took the money. Charges include compounding a crime and aggravated robbery. If they finish service and stay arrest free for a year, the charges may be dismissed.
