Rights Violated in Alabama Custody Case
In Livingston Alabama Probate Judge Wilbur Dearman pressed for a federal inquiry into a ruling that forcibly sent Martha Winston a 40-year-old mother with eight children and a grandchild from Ohio to Alabama. He said the mother and children were legal Ohio residents entitled to welfare aid there and not Alabama. Winston had moved to Cleveland four years ago and brought the children last October unable to support them.
