Karen Closson, a Kansas State University senior, spends the summer with Franklin County Extension Service as a junior assistant to Home Economist Marcia Houck. She will earn five hours of credit, keep a daily log, write papers, and develop a lesson while learning all facets of Extension work.

A 4-H livestock judging contest and a fitting and showing clinic for sheep beef dairy and swine are planned at the Franklin County Fairgrounds on Tuesday.
