Utility scheme would rob Kansas consumers
A Kansas energy columnist accuses Western Resources chief David Wittig of using out of state influence to push a 151 million rate hike for KPL and KGB customers. The piece cites sweetheart deals, subsidized ventures, and a planned New Mexico sale as motives, urging the Kansas Corporation Commission to block the plan and protect ratepayers.
