Area districts dodge June payroll crunch despite funding delay
Kansas area school districts report enough reserves to meet June payroll as 50 percent of state aid is delayed until June 30. USD 290 superintendent Jan Collins says delays are routine and not harming pay, while next year's tentative budget may rise by $11,000. Central Heights and West Franklin also report no payroll issues. Wellsville did not comment.
