New Wrinkle In Sex Scandals
A Louisiana congressman was arrested by vice squad agents who said he tried to solicit a woman decoy for sex early this year. Federal officials reportedly suppressed records of the incident. A separate report cited immunity from arrest for misdemeanors while Congress is in session. Then in Kansas, farmers in south-central areas rushed to harvest the 1976 wheat crop as rain threatened. Harvesting was active from Comanche to the southeast, with a front bringing showers that could delay the crop.
