Hedgewood on Highway K-68 near Vassar unveils Hedgewood Acres restaurant run by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hagelin of Ottawa with hours 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily offering stuffed filet of flounder, stuffed crab, filet mignon and sandwiches. Country Sales campers and repair shop run by Ned Hiatt Ottawa RFD 3 open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sundays. Hedgewood Spinn and Sport Shop run by Ed Cassidy sells live bait and camping gear.

Green Acres Restaurant at K-68 Gains Local Popularity
Green Acres Restaurant at its present K-68 location near Lake Pomona draws area favorites with hours from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Its menu features breasted fresh channel cat, breasted chicken, cod, steak, seafood and sandwiches. A new May dining room expansion seats 200. reservations are encouraged for large groups. Nearby, a Pizza Shack operates 6 to 10 p.m. weekdays and 5 p.m. to midnight weekends, with a Green Acres Conoco service station between them offering bait, groceries, car wash and boat storage.
