Ottawa considers next year funding for school and business programs

City Manager Weldon Padgett told the Ottawa City Commission during a Monday study session that special program funding appears solid for FY 2005. Projections show liquor tax backed programs at 33884, economic development down to 75552, revolving loan fund dropping to 24393, and risk management funds shrinking to 337328 due to rising insurance costs after storms. The panel approved a 500 donation to Babe Ruth Baseball and pitched a 5.71 acre affordable senior housing site, plus a 285000 bond sale for a water line project and opened planning commission applications with a Friday deadline.
