Garnett City Commission to meet over taxiway repaving
Garnett City Commission set to approve a reduced taxiway repaving plan after two bids exceeded the $18,500 engineer estimate. City Manager Rick Doran said the low bid from Killough Construction rose to nearly $25,000, prompting scaling of work and use of tar sealer on existing pavement. The cost increase was attributed to higher asphalt oil prices. Williamsburg Lions Club pancake breakfast slated for 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday in the school lunch room.
