Historical society seeks funding boost from county
Blaine Finch says the Ottawa Historical Society’s county grant was cut to 85000 for 2008 and requests a return to one half mill for 2009. The society funds come from grants, donations, memberships, admissions and fundraisers and much of its work preserves landmarks within city limits. City commissioners will decide 2009 funding later.
