Baker University athletic director Dan Harris received NACDA 2003 Athletic Director of the Year honors. Harris, at Baker since 1983 and AD since 1995, also chairs physical education and has served as football and baseball coach. He previously earned 2002 Heart of America AD of the Year and 1992 1993 Baseball Coach of the Year awards.
Ottawa High School sponsors two football camps this July. A 7 on 7 youth camp for seventh and eighth graders runs July 7 11 from 10 a.m. to noon with a $20 fee. The OHS team camp and youth clinic for fifth through eighth graders run July 21 24 with 8 to 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. to noon sessions respectively. fees are $40 each, $50 after July 12.
