Residents' road stewardship leads to county gravel handoff
Franklin County Commissioners approved a resolution to vacate a minimum maintenance road after landowners cleared trees and requested gravel. Public Works Director Jim Haag estimated 530 feet of maintenance would cost about 625 dollars, with the county laying gravel then transferring the road to the landowners in good faith. The meeting saw no residency comments as three road projects were set for bid, including the 2014 chip and seal and painted markings amid drought damage repairs.
