Mary Allison Hanie of Murfreesboro Tennessee has been named Ottawa Main Street director and will start June 18. She holds a master's in historic preservation and museum administration and is pursuing a doctorate. Officials say her experience with preservation offices will help pursue downtown historic district designation and grant opportunities while guiding economic redevelopment. The group seeks a $20,000 increase in city support to fund the director’s salary.
Mlaskech Excavating of Minnesota wins permission to move to 918 E Seventh St Wellsville under a special use permit. Neighbors voice concerns about noise hours and living nearby.
