Parole denied for man who killed infant in Ottawa
In Ottawa the parole board denied parole for Thomas Collins, convicted of second degree murder and aggravated battery in 1981 for killing his 5 month old stepdaughter Latrina Marie at 205 S Cedar St. The case included a dog alibi and brutal head trauma. Survivors described lasting trauma and the impact on Cynthia, Latrina’s mother, who faced depression and fear after the tragedy. Collins will be eligible again in June 2015.
