Rural growth faces fees in county zoning clash
Franklin County commissioners sent two rezoning proposals back to the planning commission amid neighbor protests over a farm parcel near Pomona. The Mesiks seek to reclassify 80 acres from A-1 to A-2, potentially adding two houses, prompting concerns about loss of farmland, traffic, and water quality. The vote was 3 to 2 to return the item, with Ed Taylor and Don Hay dissenting.
