City commissioners studied rates in Augusta Chanute Coffeyville Junction City Merriam Newton Parsons Winfield and Median finding Ottawa’s proposed fees lower on average for both commercial buildings and office space. The plan would raise permits from 160 to about 900 for a 7 780 square foot office and from 4135 to 13000 for a 178 000 square foot Wal Mart size project.
