Bill expands job training for disabled workers
The House approved a measure 410 to 1 to let disabled beneficiaries obtain Social Security vouchers for rehabilitation and job placement with two extra years of Medicare. It seeks to boost work reintegration, saving an estimated $3 billion if disability rolls drop. The bill, backed by Rep. Archer and Rep. Kennelly, awaits Senate action.
