Authorities investigated a Thursday morning blaze that leveled the Bisterix Cat tleman's Club Hotel in Moline Kan. No injuries were reported. Owner Renee Tindle and her daughter, residents of nearby Longton, were the sole occupants at the time, Elk County Sheriff Janet Harrington said.

Corrinne Lawrenz 75 of Wellsville died June 3 1999 at Olathe Medical Center funeral 10 a.m. Monday Wilson and Son Chapel Wellsville born Sept 25 1923 to Edward and Naomi Revey in rural Wellsville married Howard Lawrenz Feb 7 1942 in Kansas City. Survives with children, siblings, grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Burial follows at a Wellsville area cemetery.
In a Justice Department survey of 12 cities, 24 percent of Black Americans are unhappy with local police versus 10 percent of Whites. Chicago shows 31 percent of Blacks dissatisfied, 11 percent of Whites. The poll found 85 percent overall satisfied, 12 percent dissatisfied, and 3 percent very dissatisfied.
