CBS Inc claims Turner's takeover bid would load CBS with 4.5 billion in long-term debt, a 1300 percent rise that could sacrifice new programming for quick profits. More than 30 affiliates, six senators, unions, and church groups filed FCC objections, amid sharp criticism of Turner's plan to control 67 percent of CBS stock. FCC ruling anticipated in fall. Turner says he will respond within 10 days.
