Farmers win battle over pesticide giant
North Dakota farmers led by Doug Daugs faced fines for using a relabeled BASF chemical. BASF settled a class action for about 1.5 million dollars, reimbursing fines and offering price breaks. EPA officials noted the practice was legal but marketing-driven, with Poast and Poast Plus at the center of the dispute over crop labeling and approvals.
