Middle school principal brings Santa Fe Trail to life
Jeve Woolf, principal at S Ottawa Middle School, will recreate mountain man life at the Old Depot Museum this Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. He will demonstrate black powder guns, fire building without matches, and use of trade goods while wearing buckskin. He will portray William Bent, a 1800s trader who founded Bent's Fort along the Santa Fe Trail.
