Moon’s volcanic past and future questions for spacefarers
Swann discusses Hadley as a major feature possibly a collapsed lava tube on the moon. He notes lava flow toward the Apennines, a crater at the rille mouth resembling an old volcano, and exposed bedrock on a steep slope. The North Complex craters may postdate ancient eruptions, while subsurface data suggest the moon has no hot core and is geologically dead.
