TOPEKA Kan July rains rare for state yet mild against record wheat yield. Western counties saw piles of wheat on the ground due to full bins and lack of storage and rail cars, with water soaking piles and spoiling a layer of wheat. No official figures on losses have been released by federal crop reporters, the Kansas Wheat Commission or the State Board of Agriculture.
