Ottawa 13s Falter at State Tournament After Fort Scott High
Ottawa 13-year-old all-stars entered the state tourney riding a standout district run but were shut out 10-0 by Pittsburg and 12-2 by Golden Belt-Great Bend. Coach Dave Griffin cited nerves and inexperience as factors as Ottawa, once dominant in Fort Scott, failed to score in two games and were run-ruled in both. The team had outscored foes 57-25 at districts before the state setback.
