Bakers Propose Wheat Changes in Kansas
Hutchinson AP. Wendell Ebright of the Kansas Association of Wheat Growers outlined industry plans to keep wheat prices near or below production costs by opposing higher wheat target prices and ending the wheat-set aside program. He warned bakers backing price cuts could hurt farmers as wheat sits around four dollars a bushel. Officials also project bread to rise about four cents per loaf by year end due to higher wheat, labor, and transport costs.

Soybean Field Day At KSU Highlights Field Tours
