Ottawa T-ball Program Enters Second Decade In 1982
Ottawa’s T-ball program, sponsored by the Ottawa Recreation Commission, enters its second week of a three week slate with 41 teams and about 130 children. Supervisor Gary Kuntz, assisted by Todd Schultze, Keith Hodges, and Tim Burrichter, emphasizes fun, fundamentals, and basic tee hitting for eight and under players, with practices before the games to acclimate beginners. Players learn to hit off tees to avoid early frustration and the league stresses enjoyment over winning as mornings games at Forest Park proceed.
