Franklin County Fair Opens with 135th Annual Event
Ottawa hosts the start of Franklin County's 135th Annual Fair and Rodeo with pre fair judging in arts and crafts photography and clothing. Last night Mr and Miss 4 11 were chosen as fair activity begins next week with carnival rodeo livestock sale truck and tractor pull. Over 250 4 H and FFA youth participate annually and a new 4 H shooting sports program using air rifles is added this year. Prizes donated by local businesses will be awarded, and exhibits may advance to the Kansas State Fair.
