Church schools wary of new state law in Kansas
Kansas private Christian schools including Faith Christian in Salina and Elmhurst linked to Foursquare Gospel Church oppose a July 1 law requiring non accredited private schools to register with the state education department. Administrators doubt enforcement and fear state intrusion into church work while noting they meet standards and would not seek state accreditation. Open Door Baptist School in Kansas City also opposes state policing of private education.
