The Soviet Union has purchased another 200000 metric tons of 1976 crop corn for delivery after October 1, raising total corn and wheat purchases to 2.65 million tons of corn and 1.75 million tons of wheat under a five year U S agreement. The grain will come from 1976 77 supplies and not deplete U S reserves. Total 4.4 million tons, over two thirds of minimum annual commitments under the agreement, with potential increases if U S agrees. Exports to all countries in 1976 77 total around 1.45 billion bushels of corn and 1.05 billion bushels of wheat, down from 1975 76. Corn exports from last year are projected at a record 1.7 billion bushels through Sept 30, up 50 million from last month.
