Wellsville Methodist Baptists defeated First Methodist 16 to 5 on Monday to clinch the National division and earn a rematch with Church of the Nazarene, American Division winner, in a playoff at 8 30 p.m. Wellsville finished 5 0, erased a 4 1 deficit in the fourth with an 11 run rally paced by Wendell Hicks grand slam and Glenn Wilhite three hits. Bethany Chapel beat Trinity Methodist 12 2 in the other league game with Junior Williams winning and Chuck Sims taking the loss.
