Barbecue: Community event returns with slow cooker pride
The event serves duck roasts of 2.5 to four pounds for families and 8 to 10 pound beef roasts for the fair board. Staff collect meat around 5 a.m. and cook it all day, with slicing starting at 3 p.m. Admission is 7 dollars for adults and 5 dollars for children. Herald staff writer Andy Heintz reported.
