FCA Eyes Lifting Of Loan Lid
Washington AP Officials in the Farm Credit Administration hope Congress will lift the 65 percent loan cap on federal land bank associations. The move aims to improve credit for young farmers as FCA chief A E Jaenke described the system as privately financed and worth $15 billion. A study cited shows land bank borrowers averaged 53 percent of appraised value last year.
