Big tip sparks headlines and a life lesson at Excalibur
An investment executive in Chicago tipped a bottle service worker eleven thousand dollars after a $100 personal gift, then urged a thousand, then ten thousand more. The woman, Colleen Gallagher, said the moment came amid hardship as she cared for two young sons and sought affordable housing. The donor, John Boe of Meridian Investments, framed the gesture as financial relief. In Wyoming Michigan residents may vote on renaming a lake from Pimple Lake to Gypsum Lake, a move historians say reflects the lake's historic nickname.
