Cosmosphere Adds Meteorite to Its Two Rock Collection
Hutchinson Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center adds a 1430 pound meteorite found near Haviland Greensburg Kiowa County about 2000 years ago. The meteorite the world's largest oriented parlasite with a nose cone shape will sit beside the moon rock through August. It is half iron and half peridot crystal and was found Oct 16 by Steve Arnold now in Arkansas.
