Richmond Fair Parade Showcases Restored Antique Tractors
The Richmond Fair Parade highlighted a 1945 John Deere B pulled by a 1943 manure spreader, both restored by the Shortt family. Henry Morgan recalled buying the tractor during WWII for 1 040, with the spreader costing about 300 when new. The display on Main Street featured other vintage tractors, OZ themed floats, and multi generational involvement from the Morgan, Cox, Vining, and Horstick families.
