Concrete foundation is done and a Lester metal building will be delivered July 22 for the 707 Locust Street project. Donations total about 35000 of a 60000 goal with much labor donated by locals. The structure will serve as a lunch site for a nutrition program and as a meeting and event space for the Fit and Fun Club and the broader community.

New York AP reports Eric Sevareid died at his Washington home at 3:45 a.m. He was 79 and had stomach cancer surgery late last year. CBS spokesman Tom Goodman confirmed his death. Sevareid spent 38 years at CBS with reports from France to Watergate and Vietnam, earning praise from Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather.
