Carter's ninth inning homer lifts Indians past Royals 6-4
Joe Carter hit a two run homer in the ninth to seal a 6-4 Cleveland victory over Kansas City. A brawl in the third after Indians pitcher Ken Schrom threw inside led to Willie Wilson’s ejection and benches clearing. George Brett praised fighting back while Schrom said the pitch was intended inside only. Carter’s homer followed a two run single by him in the seventh.
