Marketers to tighten privacy
New York AP report says the Direct Marketing Association plans to require all members doing business in the United States to disclose to consumers when private information is shared with other marketers. The move covers about 2600 Internet firms catalogs banks publishers manufacturers nonprofits and clubs. President H Robert Wientzen urged responsible use and respect for individual choice.
