Wichita Man Captures Class A Title In Chautauqua Open Horseshoe
Vernon Valdois of Wichita defeated Danny Erbe of Altoona in a playoff to win the Class A crown at Forest Park. Both finished 6-1 in round-robin play before Valdois prevailed 41-24. The Ottawa Horseshoe Pitching Club hosted 54 competitors across seven classes with Wayne Troutwein and others placing in B and C flights.
