Beverly Jane Brown and Jerry Lee Strack exchanged vows June 10 at Paola First Baptist Church in a 2:30 PM ceremony. Attendants included maid of honor Betty Westendorff and bridesmaid Helen Brown. After a reception in Fellowship Hall, the couple plans to reside in Shawnee with Brown employed by Ottawa Production Credit Association and Strack with the Leawood fire department. Out-of-town guests came from multiple Kansas and Missouri towns.

Thirty one members and a guest attended the 2 pm Friday session of the Senior Citizens Club. The Ottawa Memorial Auxiliary 5901 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars made a hospital trip to Wadsworth V A Hospital on Wednesday. The group donated 44 dozen cookies eight decks of playing cards and 213 pocket editions. Attendees included Mrs. Robert D Altic Mrs. Martin Lovell Mrs. Roy W Lambert Mrs. John Howell Dennis and Kevin Altic. A post and auxiliary party is planned for July.
