Gary Daigneault owner and news director of KCDZ-FM used his 3000 watt station as a disaster information and supply center after Southern California’s twin earthquakes. He broadcast official updates took calls for help and organized deliveries of water diapers canned food and cash while volunteers staffed the station and delivered aid. The quake killed a 3 year old and caused millions in damage with aftershocks continuing as communities pulled together.
