VICENZA Italy AP Brig. Gen. James L Dozier said freedom was the most precious gift and credited the power of prayer for his rescue from Red Brigades captors after 42 days. Italian authorities announced 17 arrests and found armed hideouts as they pressed the crackdown. Dozier thanked Italian security forces, praised his rescuers and spoke to 250 reporters at the U.S. base chapel.
