Japanese doctors cite benzaldehyde as cancer treatment
In San Diego AP report Dr. Andrew A. Benson of Scripps says Japanese researchers found benzaldehyde, not Laetrile itself, effective against two lung cancers. They claim isolated benzaldehyde works since intestinal bacteria don’t release the component from Laetrile. Laetrile, from apricot pits, is marketed as a cancer remedy.

Some merchants note Kirmans slow but others still strong as price increases of about five percent have not slowed demand.
