Ottawa Attorney Robert Green Named to People's Bank Board

Robert Bob Green of Ottawa has been chosen to serve on the board of directors at People's Bank. An attorney since 1968, he earned a 1964 Kansas State University BGS in government and a 1967 KU Law JD. He is admitted to the Kansas Bar and the U.S. Supreme Court bars and is a member of the Kansas and American Bar Associations. Green joined Wint Winter Sr. in 1968, and the firm evolved to Winter and Green, now Green Finch Covington.

Senators honor Kansas Day with 150th statehood bid

U S Sens Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran introduced a Washington measure marking 150 years since Kansas statehood on January 29 1861. The resolution praises Kansans for their contributions to the nation and notes Dwight D Eisenhower who grew up in Kansas before his army service and WWII leadership. It urges Kansans to reflect on history and pursue freedom and liberty.
