Kansan lawmakers weigh repeal of bow hunting limits
Kansas lawmakers face an April 21 deadline to repeal a law changing bow hunting zones. The plan would set two of nine zones plus an interstate 70 corridor as permitted archery areas. Wildlife official Christopher Tymeson said the agency could implement a 10 zone system if repeal fails, aiming to satisfy about 85 percent of archers while restricting the rest. Four decades of statewide access would shift to a zone based scheme if not repealed.
