Longtime Kilgore piano teacher Shirley Bellus obituary

Shirley Bellus, 86, longtime Kilgore piano teacher, died January 22 2011 after a life of teaching and performing. A memorial service was held January 24 at Kilgore Church with an open piano time for former students. She is survived by two daughters, a grandson, a niece, and a nephew, with memorials to Kilgore College scholarship or Beacon Hospice.

Thefts Reported in Wellsville Garage Break-In

At 9:16 a.m. Sunday a 39 year old Wellsville man reported items stolen from a garage in the 4300 block of Shawnee Terrace. Police said the theft involved several items and is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.

A 51 year old Ottawa woman reported property damage at the 100 block of East Dundee at 2 01 a m Saturday. No suspects or motive released and the incident remains under police review.
